Research Background and Interests

- Fluorescent/chemiluminescent sensory materials for bio-imaging.

- Design and synthesis of targetable/activatable theranostic prodrugs for cancer therapy.

- Developing targeted theranostic photosensitizers for photodynamic or photothermal therapy.

- Design and synthesis of fluorescent probes for the detection of metal ions and bio relevant molecules (Cu2+, Hg2+, Zn2+, CN-, bio-thiols and nerve agent) and their bio- or environmental applications.

- Hybridization of organic materials with inorganic materials such as gold, iron oxide, and silica nanoparticles.
